Necessity demanded by the situation compelled Ld. UMAPADA CHATTERJEE General Secretary of District Bar Association, Barasat, North 24 Parganas, though in isolation, to call for an emergent meeting of the members, instead of a meeting to be held on coming Friday i.e., 24.04.2021.
It was seen from the resolution dated 21.04.2021, taken by both Bar Association that majority of both the members had taken the resolution for not participating in any judicial proceedings on and from 22.04.2021 to 04.05.2021.
Valuable suggestion from the members are highly solicited. Your valuable suggestion can help our Bar Association to take further course of action.

It’s my humble request that after maintaining proper precaution against Covid 19, sanitization of the courtrooms, our two Bar libraries, the Court should function with the direction of not to pass any adverse order and in the Courtrooms, only advocates and law clerks will present with wearing mask and with proper precautions.

It is my humble submission that, maintaining of COVID-19 safety protocols like routine sanitization, maintaining physical distance, avoidance of overcrowding in the Court rooms at the time of hearing of cases, stick to the basic hygiene and personal safety measures, wearing masks etc. need to be maintained along with regular functioning of the Court.
My humble opinion is that, if possible time slot wise hearing could be an option to avoid crowding at the Court room for physical hearing and if possible virtual hearing and filing of cases could be another option to continue the functioning of the Court.

এই মুহূর্তে করনার তীব্রতা সর্বাধিকl আজ সকালেই দেখলাম প্রতি সেকেন্ডে চারজন মানুষ আক্রান্ত হচ্ছেl এই অবস্থাতে কয়েকদিন পুরো বন্ধ রাখা টা বোধহয় খুব অযৌক্তিক নয় lতার পর নো অ্যাডভার্স অর্ডার চালু করা উচিত lতারপরে ধীরে ধীরে পুরো খোলা উচিতl খুব তাড়াহুড়ো করা উচিত নয় l আমি জানি আমরা প্রত্যেকেই আর্থিকভাবে অত্যন্ত ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হবোl কিন্তু বর্তমানে আমাদের দেশের অবস্থা অত্যন্ত সাংঘাতিক lএই অবস্থায় তাড়াহুড়ো করাটা বা পূর্ণ কর চালু রাখা টা বোধহয় উচিত হবে না l জীবনহানির বিরাট আশঙ্কা থেকে যাবে l

My humble opinion that the functioning of the Ld. Courts need to continue after imposition of strict guidelines and their implementation.
Restrict the persons entering the Court premises strictly and may provide pass from Bar. Also, all persons entering the Court premises should strict following of guidelines/protocols for safety.
